Next month's Dispatch will be focusing on Youth and Sustainability. World Environment Day is annually celebrated on June 5. Unlike many other International Days, World Environment Day is a people's event with many different activities such as street and bicycle rallies, parades and green concerts. Visit TakingITGlobal's events page to find out if there is an event in your neighborhood that you can join or just submit your own world Environment Day event by adding it to our global database of youth events! |
"They say that you can't truly learn a language without immersing yourself in its culture. The same can be said the other way around, you cannot truly experience a culture, without knowing the language". |

G8/G20 Summit |
In June, the most powerful leaders from around the world will gather around two summit tables, the G8 table in Huntsville and the G20 table in Toronto. The decisions they make will affect the future of life on our planet. TIG is proud to support two related initiatives: Get involved with At the Table's Short Change Video contest: create an engaging 30 second video and tell world leaders what changes you want to see. TIG is also proud to be a partner in the G(irls) 20 Summit bringing together girls from the G20 nations to discuss and promote tangible, scalable solutions toward economic prosperity. |
